Between 2022 and 2025 Stephen played a leadership and strategic advisory role to a California-wide project focusing on high quality jobs.
The work saw a partnership between Stephen’s Path Group, Jobs for the Future, and San Francisco Foundation’s ReWork the Bay. Eight organisations went on a journey, undertaking participatory research with frontline workers, to better understand and explore job quality at their respective organisations.
Each of those eight organisations stepped-up to reimagine job quality for its workers, identify key strategies for improvement, and develop pilot program ideas that meet the needs of client-facing staff.
The organisations have been researching extensively the ways in which they might be able to prove their respective offers; and together, Path Group, Jobs for the Future, and ReWork the Bay are excited to offer an early look at strategies that workforce agencies could consider adopting to improve their capacity, to ultimately, offer their employees high-quality jobs, over the long-term.
