Where things were:

Initially, Stephen became involved in UnLtd as a recipient of their awards and social investment. UnLtd then became Stephen’s client and he went on to join the Board and become an Advisor. Throughout the focus has been on measuring impact, unlocking diverse talent and promoting the value of social entrepreneurship. 

Stephen in action:

Stephen helped to oversee a number of impact investments and awards to UnLtd social entrepreneurs. His role also included engaging with Board decision-making and strategy around the use of the £150M endowment. Stephen also chairs the Advisory Board for a new £25M fund that Big Issue Invest and UnLtd are developing to deploy from 2022, which will focus on diverse entrepreneurs and investing seed, growth equity funding and debt and revenue sharing investments.

What happened next:

During Stephen’s involvement in UnLtd it has become a more diverse and inclusive organisation. Stephen played a key role in executive team hires, diversifying the process to make awards, and connecting UnLtd with new community-based partners.
